★プロフィール
　アダム・リーは北京Swingならびに北京ビッグバンドの創設者であり、彼のSwing歴は音楽(サックスとクラリネット)とともに7歳のときに始まり、1997年にLindyhopを踊り始めました。
　彼は、中国に移る前カリフォルニアで3年、北京で7年教え続け、そのほか、香港、台湾、シンガポール、モスクワ、アイルランド、ポルトガル、ベトナム、ウクライナ、ロンドン、ブラジル、アルゼンチン、そして彼の地元であるサンフランシスコのベイエリアでワークショップを行いました。
　彼は自らを「ダンスも踊れるミュージシャン」と表現し、リンディーホップは、自然な動きと音楽の解釈(表現)の延長にある自然なダンスと考えます。急成長しつつあるスイングシーンの助けになるべく、世界の国々を旅して廻っています。
　音楽を明確に理解し、その知識をどうやってダンスに生かすかに焦点をあてた、ダンサーのためのスペシャルクラスを作りあげてきました。

*スイングのリズム
スイング音楽における基本的なリズムパターンを詳しく解説します。
パターンを知ることで、独自の動きを組み立て、より自由に踊ることができます。

*リード＆フォローの連携した動きのテクニック
たくさんのムーブメントは同じスタートで始まることが多いですが、最終的にはそれぞれ違う動きになります。このクラスでは、種(核)となる動きに注目して、それらをいろいろな方法で育てる(発展させる)方法を学びます。

*ビッグバンドミュージックにおける役割
曲の各セクションがどのようになりたっているか、それをどうやって表現するかを学びます。

予約は不要ですので、直接会場にお越しください。
動きやすい服装、上履きをお持ちください。(更衣室有り)

Instructor : Adam Lee

★Profile
Adam Lee is the founder of Swing Beijing and the Beijing Big Band, and
has been swingin' since he was 7 years old starting with music
(saxophone and clarinet), and picking up swing dance in 1997. He
taught in his home state of California for 3 years before moving to
China. He has taught in Beijing continuously for 7 years, and
conducted workshops in places such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore,
Moscow, Ireland, Portugal, Vietnam, Ukraine, London, Brazil,
Argentina, and back again in his home region in the SF Bay Area. He
describes himself as a 'Musician who also can dance' and thinks of the
Lindy Hop as a "natural dance" that should be done as an extension of
natural movement and musical interpretation. He is currently on a
world tour, heading to places with burgeoning swing scenes and helping
out where he can.

Adam is currently working on getting his Masters in Music Education.
He has been developing a special series of classes for dancers,
focusing on helping them to understand more clearly what is going on
in the music that they are dancing to, and how they can put that
knowledge to good use in their dancing.

*Swing Rhythms: Fundamental and basic rhythmic patterns in swing music,
and what we can do with them.

*Linking movements with good lead/follow technique
Many movements start the same but end differently, in this class we will look at "seed movements" and how to feel them "grow" in different ways.

*Roles in Big Band music: Learn what each section in the band is doing,
and how to respond to them.

ワークショップ会場は市民学習センター(あべのベルタ3F 関西スーパーのある建物)のスタジオです。
谷町線阿倍野駅から来られる場合、7番出口が最寄です。 地下通路からあべのベルタに入り、エスカレータで3Fまで上がってください。
その他、JR、近鉄線利用の場合はあべの筋を南に向かうと右手にあります。

通訳について
ワークショップは英語にて行われますが、通訳が入ります。

How to get the venue

If you take the subway tanimachi line(purple/Abeno stn), take exit no.7. You can reach the building, 'あべのベルタ' to walk through areaway. Then, go up to the third floor by escalator.
